God. This one is awful. But every animators got one. The mysterious "first
animation". These are a rare commodity since most self respecting animators do everything
in their power to completely destroy all evidence of their existence. Well not this guy.
I'm gonna flaunt it. What can I say? I think it's funny. Though not in the way I originally
intended. I think its funny that I thought this animation was so great when I first made it.
I mean seriously. This is a textbook "bad animation". The camera work was jerky and confusing
the lighting was flat and terrible, and the animation was stiff, and robotic. This animation
reeks of inept pretentious student work

I originally intended this as on opinion piece on the Star Wars Vs. Star Trek issue.
(Hey, what can I say. I'm a geek) Originally, Darth was just gonna hop in his fighter and go
blow up the SS Enterprise. Unfortunately, I could not figure out how to make Character Studio do a
simple march walk (remember: first animation). I did, however, accidentally get him to prance,
which was funnier, so I kept it and gave his hands animation to match. After deciding on Queen's
Bohemian Rhapsody as good prancing music, the Wayne's World Parallel just fit.
Although the piece came out terribly, I do think I learned a lot about producing an
animation during the process. Despite spending many tireless hours working on this piece, I still
ended up several weeks late. It's hard to understand just how much goes into making one of these
stupid little things until you've actually tried it. I also think its nice to be able to look at
this piece every once in a while and see all of the things I've learned since then.
