Death Of A Salesman

mpeg video: 320x240 6Mb
This short was produced during my two weeks as lab assistant for CSU Summer Art's Computer Animation course. Although it only contains 400 frames of actual refined (somewhat) 3d animation, or roughly 12 seconds, creative use of holds, text and music stretches the bastard to over 10 times that length!
Interestingly enough, I had originally intended to do a much more elaborate short, and only began this one as a quick gag. I soon realised, just how much time can be spent on refining 400 frames of character animation, and ended up spending the entire time finishing this one up.

Luckilly, Andrew Gordon, one of Pixar's lead animators, was on hand as a guest artist, and was able to provide a great deal of input on my technique. While I think he would agree that the "final product" could still use a great deal of refinement, his suggestions have vastly improved my awarenes of good poses, staging, and timing.
