This animation was a practice at conveying weight. Firstly in the push to give the impression
that the character was exerting force on the block, secondly by the tension as he lifts it. And thirdly as
it rocks back and squashes him. (hey, I couldn't resist!) |

I found this run cycle in "The Animators Survival Kit" by Richard Williams. I, like many
animators, have found this book to be a priceless bit of reference material. The run is a wildly exaggerated,
flailing sprint that looked so amusing in the book, that I decided to see how it would look on my low poly
practice character. |

After interviewing for a job that was looking for quadroped animators, I noticed that my demo
reel was rather lacking in characters of the four legged persuasion. In an effort to rectify this oversight,
I created this simple lo-poly cat, and proceded to animate a basic walk cycle for it. |

A continuation of the above effort, only now the low-poly kitty is running instead of walking. Go
Kitty, Go! |
